I am Sarah, the (perhaps) crazy dog Mum responsible for Blog On A Dog. After more than 10 years working as a professional tennis coach, I decided to make a dramatic career change. Although I loved being a tennis coach, it meant leaving Audrey at home alone for hours at a time, which became a source of great stress for me. I was keen to learn new skills, but more importantly have a job which meant not leaving Audrey behind. Hence, Blog On A Dog was born.
I completed a beginner DSLR course, as well as an online blogging course. Having never been a digital whizz, the learning curve has been steep, but ultimately rewarding. I look forward to improving my skills every day and hopefully you will see that improvement over time. For now, please forgive any grammatical or technical errors, or photos that are slightly less than perfect! I’m not sure where this journey with Audrey will take me, but I’m absolutely sure we will have a great time.
Audrey is my beloved miniature pepper and salt schnauzer. I picked her out of a litter of puppies in Cambridge 5 years ago. She was mostly chosen because she was the plumpest puppy with a gorgeous belly that was ripe for tickles. She is the first dog that I have owned, and we provide each other with mutual love and support every day.
Audrey’s favourite things are; walkies, carrots, food of any kind, rolling in poop, snoozing, playing chase, and bizarrely having her fur dried with a hairdryer.
Audrey’s dislikes are: kites, the hoover, having her beard brushed, baths, wearing her harness (for car rides) and fireworks.
